Kiwanis Dream House Competition

What would your dream house look like in 7th grade?

Yesterday the members of the Kiwanis Club of Gulf Shores were amazed by the seventh graders from Gulf Shores Middle School.  Advanced Math students displayed their final projects in the annual “Dream House Competition”, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.  Students were able to enter the competition through their advanced math class, with the project objective to teach geometry and building to scale following models created by students.  Each student had a cap of $75 to spend on their design and construction of their dream house. Students spent anywhere from 20 to 75 hours working on their project’s.  We were blown away by the finished projects!  Congrats to all those that competed in the project.
